January 21 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s electricity production fell by an annual 14.97% to 2,433 GWh in the January 1-19 period of 2020, according to data from the country's Electricity System Operator (ESO).
Electricity exports dropped 34.23% to 277 GWh in the period under review, while imports soared 66.15% to 314 GWh, data from ESO's weekly bulletin showed.
Domestic power consumption fell 6.06% to 2,470 GWh.
The volume of renewable energy in the transmission system grew 18.06% year-on-year to 71 GWh, while the volume of renewable energy in the distribution system edged up 0.27% to 91 GWh.
