January 29 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s electricity production fell by an annual 14.69% to 3,346 GWh in the January 1-26 period of 2020, according to data from the country's Electricity System Operator (ESO).
Electricity exports dropped 34.39% to 384 GWh in the period under review, while imports soared 86.92% to 446 GWh, data from ESO's weekly bulletin showed.
Domestic power consumption fell 4.67% to 3,408 GWh.
The volume of renewable energy in the transmission system grew 25.62% year-on-year to 101 GWh, while the volume of renewable energy in the distribution system rose 18.29% to 134 GWh.
