March 25 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s electricity production fell by an annual 10.29% to 10,434 GWh in the January 1 - March 22 period of 2020, according to data from the country's Electricity System Operator (ESO).
Electricity exports dropped 21.73% to 1,711 GWh in the period under review, while imports soared 82.07% to 1,230 GWh, data from ESO's weekly bulletin showed.
Domestic power consumption fell 1.66% to 9,953 GWh.
The volume of renewable energy in the transmission system grew 14.07% year-on-year to 342 GWh, while the volume of renewable energy in the distribution system rose 10.68% to 460 GWh.
