February 18 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian municipally-owned public transport company Trolleybus Transport - Vratsa said that its tender for a contract for supply of 9 trolleybuses, worth an estimated 9.1 million levs ($5.1 million/4.7 million euro), has attracted two offers.
Bids in the tender were submitted by local Excelor Holding Group and Avto Engineering Holding Group, documents published by Trolleybus Transport - Vratsa last week showed.
According to commercial register data, Excelor Holding Group is fully owned by private individual Ilka Kamenova. Excelor Holding Group generated operating revenue of 22.4 million levs and a net profit of 282,000 levs in 2018, according to its most recent annual financial statement.
Avto Engineering Holding Group is also fully owned by a private individual - Yulian Dimov. The company booked revenue of 8.7 million levs and a net profit of 335,000 levs in 2018, according to its financial statement.
Trolleybus Transport - Vratsa first launched the tender in July 2019, but the procedure was subsequently cancelled in August and restarted in December.
The tender is part of a larger project for the upgrade of Vratza's ageing public transport fleet, which also envisages the purchase of 13 electric buses. Both contracts will benefit from EU funding under Operational Programme Environment 2014-2020.
