October 8 (SeeNews) - State-owned water utility Vodosnabdiavane i Kanalizatsia, servicing the city of Smolyan, said that its 46.6 million levs ($26.2 million/23.8 million euro) tender for awarding contracts for the revamp of the city's water supply and sewerage system has attracted offers from seven candidates.
The tender is divided into two lots, concerning different parts of the city's water supply and sewerage system, worth 31.3 million levs and 15.3 million levs, respectively.
Six companies and tie-ups tabled offers for the larger contract, while the smaller contract drew four bids, the water utility company said in a statement earlier this month.
Construction company ISA 2000, as well as two tie-ups - one comprising Aqua Tempus, Aqua Systems and B&J Group, and another formed by Trace Group Hold [BUL:T57] and Alve Consult, submitted offers for both contracts.
The larger contract also attracted interest from local companies Stanilov and GBS - Infrastructurno Stroitelstvo, as well as a tie-up comprising Raicommerce Construction and RC Design.
Besides the three candidates which bid for both contracts, the smaller deal also drew interest from a tie-up between Via Construct Group and ViK Infrastructurno Proektirane.
The project benefits from EU funding under Operational Programme Environment 2014-2020.
