October 31 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's sole nuclear power plant (NPP) Kozloduy said on Thursday that it has launched several public procurement procedures for awarding contract for repair and maintenance of its units 5 and 6, worth an estimated total of 63 million levs ($36.0 million/32.2 million euro).
The contracts envisage works related to the two units' planned annual maintenance in 2020, the extension of their lifespan and increasing their safety, NPP Kozloduy said in several tender notices.
The deadlines for submitting expressions of interest for the contracts are all in the December 3-6 period. Selected candidates are expected to be invited to submit offers in early January.
NPP Kozloduy has two functioning units of 1,000 MW each.
