March 13 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's trade deficit rose over ten times year-on-year to 482.9 million levs ($263.5 million/247 million euro) in January, mainly due to a surge in imports, the country's statistical office, NSI, said on Monday.
Exports increased 8.7% on the year in January, while imports soared 21.2%, NSI said in a statement.
Compared to December 2016, exports rose 8.7%, while imports increased by 21.2% in January.
