April 10 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's trade deficit more than doubled year-on-year to 857.1 million levs ($263.5 million/247 million euro) in the January-February period, from 386.7 million in the same period last year, mainly due to an increase in imports, the country's statistical office, NSI, said on Monday.
Exports increased 12.7% on the year in the first two months, while imports grew by 18.5%, NSI said in a statement.
Compared to January, exports rose 5%, while imports increased by 8.3% in February.
