August 30 (SeeNews) - Deliveries of natural gas to Bulgaria amounted to 180 million cubic metres in June, representing an annual decline of 21.7% and down 10% on the previous month, the statistical office said.
Electricity production went up by a quarter year-on-year in June, reaching 4,031 GWh. That represented a monthly rise of 11.2%.
The highest annual rate of production increase was registered in the solid fuels category, of 138% to 2,377 tonnes, which was nevertheless 15% lower than in May.
The country's own output of natural gas totalled 2 million cu m in June, unchanged from the same month of 2021 and the same as in May, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a statement last week.
Electricity deliveries ticked down 3.1% on an annual comparison basis to 2,413 GWh in June, while deliveries of oil products rose to 394,000 tonnes from 368,000 tonnes a year earlier.
Bulgaria's oil products output jumped 41% year-on-year to 664,000 tonnes in June, but was slightly lower than 669,000 tonnes in May.
