December 4 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Gabrovo municipality said on Wednesday that it has signed a 2.7 million levs ($1.5 million/1.4 million euro) contract with local Chariot Motors for the purchase of three electric buses for the needs of its public transport system.
The project benefits from EU funding under Operational Programme Regions in Growth, the municipality said in a notice.
The tender attracted two offers.
In September, Gabrovo municipality also purchased eight buses running on compressed natural gas (CNG) from Bulgarian Autumotive Industry for 3.16 million levs.
