April 19 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Electricity System Operator (ESO) said on Thursday it has opened a 2 million levs ($1.3 million/1.0 million euro) tender for the supply of three shunt reactors.
The deal also envisages carrying out 72-hour tests of the equipment, ESO said in a tender notice.
The deadline for submitting offers is May 28.
Bids will be ranked based on price and quality criteria.
Shunt reactors absorb reactive power, thus increasing the energy efficiency of the system. Shunt reactors are used for reactive power compensation in long high-voltage transmission lines.
