September 16 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s Burgas Airport said it passed on Friday the two-millionth passenger milestone for the first time ever.
“This is the first time we have two million passengers in the history of the airport,” Burgas Airport public relations officer Todorka Aladzhova told SeeNews over the phone.
The Burgas Airport, situated on the southern Black Sea coast, reported an 11.1% rise in passenger traffic to 1,894,109 in 2010.
The airport is operated by Fraport Twin Star Airport Management, a 60/40 joint venture of Germany’s Fraport and Bulgarian company BM Star, under a 35-year concession arrangement.
