July 4 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian software and IT services group Bianor Holding [BUL:BNR] said on Tuesday that its wholly-owned subsidiary Bianor Services will work on three new defence projects approved by the European Defence Fund (EDF).
Bianor Services was selected as a member of the three winning consortia for the multi-year projects scheduled to begin later this year, Bianor said in a press release.
The first project, the Responsive Electronic Attack for Cooperation Tasks II (REACTII), is led by Spain's Indra and seeks to enhance the EU's airborne electronic attack capabilities by addressing existing gaps and improving operational reliability and security. Bianor Services will work on the software architecture and interface of the solution.
The European Command and Control System (EC2) project, a joint effort between Indra and Italy's Leonardo, aims to establish a unified command and control platform to enhance operational capabilities. EC2 will provide the EU with a common command and control solution, centralising operational capacity and ensuring interoperability across government agencies, with Bianor's unit responsible for integrating external systems.
The third initiative, the Federated Advanced Cyber-physical Test range (FACT), led by Norway's Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace, Leonardo and Germany's Rheinmetall, will deliver a new cyber-physical testing toolkit and equipment verification capabilities at the EU level. It will focus on cyber security, improving performance and productivity and reducing costs. Bianor Services will provide the data processing software solution for the project.
Bianor Services is a software development company specialising in advanced solutions for video and image processing, data streaming, real-time broadcasting, encryption, analytics and data transfer. In addition to the three new projects, the company is involved in other defence projects of NATO and the EDF.
The EDF facilitates collaborative projects between companies and researchers in the EU, promoting the development of cutting-edge defence technologies and equipment.
