March 8 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts, gained 0.31% to an all-time high of 121.26 points at the end of Friday's trading session.
The rise was solely due to a 1.58% rise in the share price of Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:5BU], which closed at 1.58 levs.
The BGREIT index set its previous high, of 121.21 points, on February 19.
The blue-chip SOFIX index slid 0.27% to 582.51 points on Friday, after gaining 0.19% in the preceding trading session.
The biggest decliner among BSE blue chips on Friday was resort operator Albena, which lost 2.93% to 39.8 levs, erasing part of its gains on Thursday when it closed 8.47% higher.
Albena shares are due to drop out of the SOFIX starting from March 18.
The wider BGBX40 and the equally-weighted BGTR30 indices followed suit, dropping 0.50% and 0.84%, respectively.
Both indices were rocked by a 9.17% plunge of Agria Group Holding's [BUL:A72] share price.
Total trading turnover on the BSE regulated market shrank to 209,000 levs ($120,000/107,000 euro) on Friday from 2.85 million levs on Thursday.
