June 20 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian poultry producer Pilko said on Thursday that its net profit grew to 13.7 million levs ($7.9 million/7.0 million euro) in 2018 from 9.4 million levs in 2017, following a rise in revenue.
The company's poultry products sales increased to 164.4 million levs last year from 154.3 million levs in 2017, Pilko said in an annual financial statement.
Other operating revenue amounted to 90.5 million levs, up from 80.7 million levs the year before.
Expenses for materials rose to 194.3 million levs in 2018 from 182.8 million levs in 2017, while expenses for hired services increased to 28.0 million levs from 25.1 million levs.
Pilko's assets rose to 85.3 million levs at the end of 2018 from 45.8 million levs a year earlier following a rise in machinery, properties and equipment, as well as in current assets.
Pilko, which makes poultry products under the Ludogorsko pile brand, is a wholly-owned unit of local food group Ameta Holding.
