January 18 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's parliament said on Thursday it ratified the treaty of friendship and good neighbourly relations with Macedonia signed last year.
The treaty was ratified by 186 of 240 members of Bulgarian parliament with no objections or abstentions, the parliament said in a statement.
The Macedonian parliament ratified the treaty on Monday.
The prime ministers of Macedonia and Bulgaria, Zoran Zaev and Boyko Borissov, signed the treaty in August 2017. The ministers of transport and energy of the two countries signed memorandums of understanding for completion of the construction of a railroad link between Sofia and Skopje as well as for a pipeline connecting the gas transmission systems of EU member Bulgaria and EU candidate Macedonia.
