May 4 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's sole nuclear power plant (NPP) Kozloduy said its net profit rose to 54.4 million levs ($30.3 million/27.8 million euro) in the January-March period of 2017, from 36.8 million levs a year earlier.
The company’s sales revenue rose to 229.4 million levs in the first three months of 2017, from 218.9 million levs a year earlier, Kozloduy said in its financial report posted on the website of the finance ministry.
Operating profit rose to 54.6 million levs in the first quarter, from 37.4 million levs in the corresponding period of 2016.
The nuclear plant's gross electricity output edged up by an annual 0.59% to 4.4 million MWh in the review period. Kozloduy sold a total of 2.8 million MWh on the de-regulated market and 1.4 million MWh on the regulated market.
Kozloduy NPP's investments in the period under review totalled 22.2 million levs.
