SOFIA (Bulgaria), November 17 (SeeNews) – The revenue generated by Bulgarian companies in the furniture sector rose by an annual 4.7% to over 1 billion levs ($602.4 million/511.6 million euro) in 2016, deputy economy minister Aleksander Manolev said on Friday.
Over the past 10 years furniture exports from Bulgaria have grown steadily, reaching over 500 million levs per year, Manolev said as quoted in a press release by the economy ministry.
Around 2,600 companies operate in the sector, employing some 20,000 people, the press release reads.
