December 18 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian employers see positive hiring prospects in all ten industry sectors and in all regions in the country in the first quarter of 2020, recruitment company ManpowerGroup said.
Out of 623 surveyed employers, 10% expect to hire new staff in the first three months of 2020, 6% forecast a decrease a decrease of payrolls, while 82% do not expect any changes, ManpowerGroup said in a statement last week, citing data from its latest Employment Outlook Survey.
"We also notice that companies from various sectors have started to open up to alternative solutions such as the outsourcing of specific tasks in the attempt to tackle with the lack of talent, and this is one of the main reasons for their optimism," Aleksandar Hangimana, managing director ManpowerGroup Balkans, said in the statement.
Employers in all ten industry sectors expect to increase payrolls during the January-March period of 2020, with the mining sector reporting the strongest hiring pace, where the net employment outlook stands at +13%.
On a quarterly comparison basis, hiring intentions weaken in five of the industry sectors in the country, with agriculture sector reporting the steepest drop. The net employment outlook in the agriculture sector stands at 1% in the first quarter of 2020, down from 8% in the same quarter of 2019 and 10% in the previous quarter.
In terms of regional hiring intentions, the strongest labour market is anticipated in Varna with a net employment outlook of +13%.
The net employment outlook is derived by taking the percentage of employers anticipating an increase in hiring activity and subtracting from this the percentage of employers expecting a decrease in hiring activity.
