February 12 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian state-owned lignite mining company Mini Maritsa Iztok launched a tender for awarding 36-month property insurance contract worth an estimated 1.5 million levs ($927,000/766,900 euro), it said on Friday.
The tender is divided into four lots, including the insurance of buildings, installations, materials, machinery and equipment, at three of the company's mines - Troyanovo-1, Troyanovo-3 and Troyanovo-North, Mini Maritsa Iztok said in a tender notice.
Candidates have until March 15 to submit offers for each of the lots. The bids will be ranked solely based on price.
The coal mines operated by Mini Maritsa Iztok are located in southern Bulgaria and sell their output mainly to three thermal power plants nearby, owned respectively by ContourGlobal, AES, and the Bulgarian state. The power plants owned by ContourGlobal and AES generate around 30% of Bulgaria's electricity output.
