January 5 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's economy minister Emil Karanikolov said the government will start negotiations later this month with three companies interested in opening an electric car factory in the country, local media reported on Friday.
"One is an European company, while the other two are from two non-EU countries," Karanikolov said in an interview with 24chasa.bg.
The minister did not reveal the names of the companies.
The factory could be located in an existing industrial zone in Bulgaria or in one of the industrial zones planned for construction near the cities of Gorna Oriahovitsa, Targovishte or Lovech, Karanikolov said.
