SOFIA (Bulgaria), December 11 (SeeNews) – Bulgaria’s Road Infrastructure Agency said that it has decided to sign five-year contracts with local AB and state-owned Avtomagistrali for maintenance of Maritsa motorway and part of Trakia motorway, respectively.
The two companies filed the only bids in the public procurement procedure for awarding the two contracts, tender documents showed.
The contract for maintenance of Maritsa motorway has an estimated value of 16.4 million levs ($9.5 million/8.4 million levs), while the one for Trakia is worth an estimated 11.8 million levs.
The Road Infrastructure Agency is also due to award contracts for maintenance of the remaining part of Trakia motorway, as well as for two sections of Hemus motorway.
Avtomagistrali filed the only bid for the remaining section of Trakia motorway, with an estimated value of 49.3 million levs. The state-owned company is also competing with local Infra Expert for maintenance of the larger section of Hemus motorway, worth 35 million levs.
The other section of Hemus motorway, with an estimated value of 18.7 million levs, attracted the most candidates - four. Local Avtomagistrali - Cherno more, Hemus Varna tie-up, Consortium Hemus and PP Varna 2018 tie-up submitted offers for the contract.
