February 21 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's interior ministry said on Thursday that it has signed a 4.45 million levs ($2.6 million/2.3 million euro) deal with a consortium led by Austria's Airborne Technologies for supply of a surveillance sensor system for helicopters.
The system will be installed on an Agusta А-109Е helicopter, the ministry said in a notice.
The deal was signed on January 31.
The consortium filed the only bid in the public procurement procedure for awarding the contract.
Airborne Technologies holds a 97% stake in the consortium, while the remainder is owned by Bulgaria's Heli Air Services.
