December 11 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Road Infrastructure Agency said that it has extended the deadline of its two tenders worth a total of 302 million levs ($175.9 million/154.4 million euro) for construction works on a 33-kilometer road section between the towns of Mezdra and Botevgrad.
The deadline of the larger tender, with an estimated value of 178.8 million levs, was extended from December 10 to January 24, the government agency said in a notice on Monday.
The contract envisages construction of a 13-km section of the road in northwestern Bulgaria.
The deadline of the second public procurement procedure, for the repair of a 20-km road section for an estimated 123 million levs, was extended from December 3 to January 17, the agency said last week.
Both contracts will be fully financed from the state budget.
Construction works under both contracts must be completed within 1,096 days.
The Road Infrastructure Agency originally launched the two tenders in March but they were subsequently suspended over complaints filed with the Commission for Protection of Competition and then were cancelled in August. The current tenders were opened on October.
