May 30 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) said that it launched a tender worth an indicative 38.4 million levs ($21.1 million/19.6 million euro) excluding VAT for the technical design, repair and construction supervision of a road in the northeastern part of the country leading to the border with Romania.
The planned roadworks cover a stretch of 32 km on the road which connects the town of Dobrich to the Yovkovo border checkpoint with Romania, the government agency said in a press release on Monday.
The deadline for submission of bids is June 26.
A technical design process, which is divided into three stages, must be completed within 180 days. The winning bidder will have 600 calendar days from the signing of the contract to carry out the overhaul. The Dobrich-Yovkovo road was built in 1912 and rehabilitation works were last carried out 20 years ago.
