SOFIA (Bulgaria), February 1 (SeeNews) – State-run Bulgarian energy group Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH) appointed Krasimir Parvanov as new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the country's power grid operator NEK, the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism said on Monday.
"The change aims at optimization of the company’s activities, improvement of team spirit in decision making within the Board of Directors and synchronization of the company’s development with the state’s priorities in the energy sector," the ministry said in a statement.
Parvanov will replace Georgi Mikov.
The Bulgarian cabinet plans to list between 10 and 15 percent of some of its energy monopolies, part of BEH, on the stock exchange, aiming to support energy efficiency and renewable energy projects, Economy, Energy and Tourism Minister Traycho Traykov said in November.
