Bucharest stock indices end in red, turnover rises

BUCHAREST (Romania), September 9 (SeeNews) - Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) ended in negative territory on Monday amid higher total daily turnover, bourse data showed.

The total equity turnover of the BVB rose to 25.6 million lei ($6 million/5.4 million euro) on Monday, compared to 17.1 million lei on Friday.

Power supplier and distributor Electrica [BSE:EL] shares stood to 11.25 lei in the day's largest turnover of 11.26 million lei.

Share price of Nuclearelectrica [BSE:SNN], the operator of the country's sole NPP in Cernavoda, fell 0.78% to 12.8 lei the day's second largest turnover, of 5.27 million lei.

Lender Banca Transilvania [BSE:TLV] lost 0.21% to 2.36 lei in the third largest trading turnover during the session, of 3.39 million lei.

BET-NG includes companies from the energy sector and utilities.

BET-XT is a blue chip index and reflects the price evolution of the most liquid 25 shares traded on the regulated market, including the SIFs.

BET-XT-TR reflects the price performance of the top 25 most traded Romanian companies, as well as their gross dividends and cash distributions.

ROTX tracks Romania's nine most liquid stocks. It is a joint index of the Bucharest bourse and the Vienna Stock Exchange.
