SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), August 8 (SeeNews) – Bosnia’s Sparkasse Bank said its net profit rose to 10.5 million marka ($6.2 million/5.4 million euro) in the first half of 2108 from 7.7 million marka a year earlier.
The bank's net interest income edged up to 22.8 million marka in the first six months from 22.3 million marka in the like period last year, while net income from fees and commissions jumped 12% to 10.97 million marka, Sparkasse Bank said in a Sarajevo bourse filing on Tuesday.
The lender's net assets totalled 1.7 billion marka at the end of June.
Sparkasse Bank, a unit of Austrian group Steiermaerkische Sparkasse, is based in Sarajevo, in the Federation, one of the two autonomous entities that form Bosnia. The other is the Serb Republic.
