March 8 (SeeNews) - Bosnia’s Sparkasse Bank [SASE:ABSB], a unit of Austrian group Steiermaerkische Sparkasse, said on Friday its net profit rose 75.8% year-on-year in 2023, to 31.5 million marka ($17.6 million/16.1 million euro).
The bank's net interest income increased 19% on the year to 61.7 million marka in 2023, whereas net income from fees and commissions rose 6.7% to 32.3 million marka, Sparkasse Bank said in a filing with the Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE).
The net assets of the Sarajevo-based lender rose to 2.78 billion marka at the end of 2023, from 2.58 billion marka at end-2022.
The lender's shares have not traded on the SASE in the past year.
