November 17 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists staying in Bosnia's Serb Republic in September totalled 20,381, down by 2.6% on the year but 2.9% higher on the month, official figures showed.
The Serb Republic tourist numbers fell 5.3% to 174,909 in the first nine months of 2009, data from the website of the Serb Republic Statistics Office indicated.
The number of overnights decreased by 5.7% year-on-year to 55,118 in September. Most foreign tourists visiting the Serb Republic came from neighbouring Serbia, followed by tourists from Croatia, Slovenia, Italy and Austria.
The Serb Republic and the Muslim-Croat Federation are the two autonomous parts of post-war Bosnia.
