July 3 (SeeNews) - The tax administration of Bosnia's Serb Republic said it has collected 1.2 billion marka ($717.4 million/636.0 million euro) in taxes in the first half of 2019, up 2% compared to a year earlier.
Revenue from direct taxes fell 4% on the year to 274.8 million marka, mostly due to lower income tax collection, the entity's tax office said in a statement on Tuesday.
Revenue from contributions rose 7% on the year to 764.4 million marka in the January-June period on the back of higher contributions to the state pension and health insurance funds.
Other revenues were flattish at some 200 million marka.
The Serb Republic is one of the two entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
