SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), August 27 (SeeNews) – Bosnia's Grawe Osiguranje Sarajevo, a member of Austrian insurance group Grawe, said its net profit fell to 1.2 million marka ($681,492/613,550 euro) in the first half of 2019 from 1.6 million marka in the prior-year period.
Total gross written premiums increased to 26.9 million marka in the six-month period ended June 30, from 25.4 million marka a year earlier, Grawe Osiguranje said in a filing with the Sarajevo Stock Exchange on Monday.
The company's income from fees and commissions rose to 495,929 marka, up 2.6% on the year, while operating costs increased by 19.7% to 9.5 million marka.
Grawe runs a unit in each of Bosnia two constituent entities, the Federation and the Serb Republic.
Grawe Osiguranje Sarajevo is based in the Federation, while GRAWE Osiguranje Banja Luka is based in the Serb Republic.
