January 7 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's AS Holding has acquired a 75.65% stake in local bakery Mlin i Pekara Ljubace [SASE:MLHR], local brokerage firm AW Broker which acted as an intermediary in the transaction, said.
The deal for the sale and purchase of 250,309 Mlin i Pekara shares, representing a 75.65% ownership stake, was struck at 1.12 marka ($0.64/0.57 euro) apiece on December 30, AW Broker said in a Sarajevo bourse filing on Monday.

It did not provide the names of the parties to the deal, yet data from the Sarajevo Stock Exchange showed on January 7 that AS Holding is the majority owner of Mlin i Pekara with a 75.65% stake, followed by its parent group AS with 19.36%.
According to a Monday report of news website eKapija.ba, the seller of the stake was AS, which used to control a 95% stake in the Ljubace-based bakery, meaning the company continues to operate within the same group.
Mlin i Pekara was founded back in 1950 and is now one of largest bakeries in Bosnia, possessing wheat storage silo capacities of some 50,000 tonnes, according to company's own data. It also has a flour silo with a capacity of 2,000 tonnes.
AS Holding is one of Bosnia's largest private holding companies active in three main areas - food, trade and textile.
