- Bosnian Serb officials said on Tuesday they do not accept the decision of international peace overseer Valentin Inzko, who ordered them last week to stop the year-long blocking of the operations of the state electricity transmission company Elektroprenos BiH. Bosnia's Serb Republic and Muslim-Croat Federation, the country's two autonomous parts, are owners of the company.

- The Muslim-Croat Federation’s War Veterans Affairs Minister Zahid Crnkic said he considers resigning on moral grounds. He said he is unable to hold further negotiations and argue with the Federation’s war veterans over cuts in indemnities when veterans see that the remunerations of other government officials are not being decreased. The Federation should cut public spending to meet the conditions of the $1.52 billion bail-out funding deal Bosnia signed with the International Monetary Fund earlier this year.

- Gross foreign direct investments in Bosnia’s Serb Republic in the first half of the year halved to 43.3 million marka from 99.7 million marka a year ago, the Republic’s Investment Development Bank said.
