- Bosnian citizens that apply by October 15 to be issued biometric passports will start receiving their new ID papers as of next Monday, officials from the institutions in charge of the process said. Biometric passports are a key condition for visa-free travel in the European Union, a perk Bosnia hopes its citizens will be able to enjoy starting from the second half of 2010.
- Bosnian cigarette factory Fabrika Duhana Mostar (FDM) could enter insolvency if it is not privatised soon as its losses have likely exceeded its capital, the company's director, Bakir Pekusic, said. The Privatisation Agency of Bosnia’s Muslim-Croat Federation last month canceled the sale of 67% of FDM to Bulgaria’s Pazardzhik BT.
