April 23 (SeeNews) - Billa Bulgaria, the local arm of supermarket chain Billa owned by Germany's REWE Group, said on Monday that its gross sales revenues rose by 9.2% to over 854 million levs ($534 million/436.6 million euro) in 2017.
In 2017, Billa Bulgaria opened eight new supermarkets, the company said in a statement.
So far in 2018, the company has opened two more stores - one in the cooastal city of Varna and another one in the capital Sofia.
Billa entered the Bulgarian market in 2000. The company operates 120 supermarkets in the country, including 47 in the Sofia.
