August 2 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] led the blue-chip gainers' list on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Tuesday, as stock indices went up, bourse data showed.
A total of 9,976 NIS shares changed hands in a turnover of 6.2 million dinars. NIS closed flat at 620 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session up 0.21% at 841.19 points. The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed up 0.01% at 1,693.75.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 1.987 billion dinars ($17.3 million/16.9 million euro) on Tuesday, up from 13.1 million dinars on Monday, as 125 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 662,750 dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 1.977 billion dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange.
