BELGRADE (Serbia), September 18 (SeeNews) – The Belgrade shares indices gained further ground in swelling turnover on Friday, stock exchange data showed.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange added 1.79% to 824.28 points after rising 2.17% on Thursday. The broader BELEXline index climbed 2.24% to 1,552.85 points after gaining 2.09% a day earlier.
The joint SRX index of the bourses in Belgrade and Vienna rose 0.58% to 369.06 on the last working day of the week.
The Belgrade bourse's total turnover rose to 117 million dinars ($1.6 million/1.1 million euro) from 105 million dinars on Thursday. Trade in government securities shrank to 3.4 million dinars from 8.0 million dinars a day earlier.
Blue-chip lender AIK Banka was once again the day's most traded company. Its shares climbed 1.99% to 3,171 dinars in a turnover of 46 million dinars.
Cookware manufacturer Metalac posted the session’s second highest turnover of 10.6 million dinars. Its shares gained 7.48% to 2,988 dinars.
Engineering holding company Energoprojekt rose 2.2% to 1,117 dinars in the third largest turnover of 8.2 million dinars.
Commercial bank Jubmes was the biggest advancer on Friday, surging 19.45% to 25,905 dinars.
Local daily Politika posted the biggest loss, sinking 3.85% to 125 dinars.
Gainers outnumbered fallers by 31 to 17, while the shares of 26 companies ended unchanged.
