March 24 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade bourse closed 0.87% lower at 891.15 points on Friday, dragged down by losses in industrial gases producer Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] and insurer Dunav Osiguranje [BEL:DNOS] shares, bourse data showed.
Messer Tehnogas led the decliners on Friday, closing down 1.41% to 13,261 dinars while Dunav Osiguranje closed 1.25% lower at 1,182 dinars.
There were no gainers in the BELEX15 index on Friday.
NIS generated the highest turnover on the bourse on Friday. A total of 131 NIS shares changed hands in a turnover of 99,776 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index went down 0.53% at 1,790.20.
The bourse's total trading turnover amounted to 9.4 million dinars ($86,100/79,700 euro), down from 11.2 million dinars on Thursday, as 67 transactions were carried out.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 1.7 million of the total turnover on the stock exchange on Friday.
In the period between March 20 and 24, the BELEX15 declined 0.71%, while BELEXline fell 0.49%.
The total value of trading on the Belgrade stock market this week was 107.3 million dinars, versus 275.6 million dinars in the previous trading week.
