February 2 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange closed 0.32% higher at 880.10 points on Friday, with industrial gases maker Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] leading gainers, bourse data showed.
Messer added 3.55% to 17,251 dinars in a volume of 25 shares.
Trade in oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the day's largest turnover. A total of 3,879 NIS shares changed hands in a turnover of 3.2 million dinars. NIS was the day's only blue-chip loser, shedding 0.49% to 811 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, ended 0.32% higher at 1,937.33 points.
Total turnover on the Belgrade bourse soared to 430 million dinars ($4 million/3.7 million euro) on Friday from 232 million dinars on Thursdaym as trading in Treasury bonds contributed 425.8 million dinars to Friday's turnover.
Between January 29 and February 2, the BELEX15 increased 1.09%, while the BELEXline rose 0.35%. Total trading turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange fell to 718.2 million dinars this week, from 1.9 billion dinars last week.
