December 1 (SeeNews) - Total trading turnover of Bosnia's Banja Luka Stock Exchange (BLSE) rose to 64.5 million marka ($34.4 million/33 million euro) in November, compared with 43.4 million marka generated in October, the bourse said on Thursday.
Equity turnover from regular trading on the BLSE totalled 8.9 million marka in November, higher than 2.2 million marka in the prior month, the bourse said in a monthly report.
The BLSE's total trading turnover amounted to nearly 10 million marka in November 2021.
A total of 498 transactions were concluded on the Banja Luka bourse in November, compared with 377 in the previous month and 610 transactions in November 2021.
The BLSE's total market capitalisation amounted to 4.67 billion marka in November, slightly up from 4.6 billion marka the prior month. The bourse's total market capitalisation came in at 4.1 billion marka in November 2021.
The BLSE’s benchmark index, the BIRS, closed at 821.29 points at the end of November, up 4.59% compared to the end-October value and 21.98% higher compared with its closing value at the end of November 2021.
Nasa Banka [BANJ:PIBB] contributed the largest portion of total trading turnover among the companies on the BLSE in November, of 3.3 million marka. The lender's shares last traded on November 22, closing 34% lower at 0.66 marka.
The BLSE is based in the Serb Republic, one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE) is based in the other entity, the Federation.
