BELGRADE (Serbia), November 23 (SeeNews) – The Belgrade city authorities said on Wednesday that the total investment of Israeli company Ashtrom in the construction of the Rajiceva Shopping Centre in the Serbian capital will amount to 80 million euro ($84.6 million).
Some 300 workers are working on the construction site, as some 400 will be employed in the shopping centre after its completion in 2017, Belgrade mayor Sinisa Mali said, as quoted in a statement of the city authorities.
The Rajiceva Shopping Centre will be developed as part of a mixed-use project and the second phase of it incorporates the construction of a luxury hotel. With 15,300 sq m of gross leasable area, the shopping centre will feature an underground parking lot for 500 cars and six floors of leasable space with more than 80 stores.
A total of 70% of the stores in the shopping centre have already been leased out, and negotiations are running with a company wishing to operate the hotel, the manager of the project, Tsahi Boneh, said.
Ashtrom participates in the project through Belgrade-based company ABD d.o.o., entirely owned by Ashtrom Serbia Holdings.
