September 29 (SeeNews) - Albania's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by an estimated 4.06% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2017, after posting an annual growth of 3.94% in the first quarter, official statistics indicated on Friday.
On a quarterly comparison basis, Albania's GDP increased by 0.36% in the April-June period, the country's statistical office, INSTAT, said in a quarterly report on the country's economic growth.
The main contributor to Albania's economic growth in the second quarter was construction.
In 2016, Albania's economy expanded by an estimated 3.5%.
