June 1 (SeeNews) - Montenegrin state-owned airport operator Aerodromi Crne Gore is awaiting permission from the Civil Aviation Agency (CAA) to open a second terminal at Tivat airport, local media reported on Thursday.
"Taking into account indications for this summer season, even though it will be a terminal intended only for outgoing flights, putting it into operation would reduce the load on the main terminal building," public broadcaster RTCG reported.
The CAA carried out an inspection in May which revealed certain deficiencies, the elimination of which is necessary before giving permission for the opening of Terminal 2. The airport operator informed the CAA that these deficiencies have been rectified in the meantime, which will be subject to re-verification following an inspection that is expected in the coming days, RTCG said.
