December 21 (SeeNews) - Belgrade airport operator Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday but paced the blue-chip decliners, as share indices ended up, bourse data showed.
A total of 12,718 of Aerodrom's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 23.1 million dinars. The company closed down 0.27% at 1,815 dinars.
Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] led the blue-chip gainers' list on Friday, as its share price rose 2.22% to 690 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, went up 0.37% to 753.75 points on Friday. The index declined 1.11% on Thursday.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, closed up 0.17% at 1,567.28 points on Friday, after falling 0.93% on Thursday.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse decreased to 33.1 million dinars ($319,852/279,874 euro) on Friday from 449.1 million dinars on Thursday, as 167 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 1.1 million dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 211 million dinars to the total turnover of 244.1 million dinars on the stock exchange.
In the period between December 17 and 21, BELEX15 and BELEXline went up by 1.10% and 0.61%, respectively.
The total value of trading in shares on the Belgrade stock market in the period between December 17 and 21 was 820.7 million dinars, versus 19.8 million dinars in the previous week.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 211 million dinars to the total turnover, versus 991.4 million dinars last week.
