The Chief Executive Officer of Vivacom won the first place in the special leadership category at the Forbes Business Awards 2023. Nikolai Andreev was named Forbes CEO of the Year nearly two years after taking the helm of Bulgaria’s leading telecom operator. Since then and under his management, the company has made decisive steps, leaving a lasting mark on the whole industry and giving strong positive impetus to innovation.

The prestigious recognition for Vivacom’s CEO comes nearly three years after the telecom joined the family of United Group, Southeast Europe’s leading telecom and media services provider. Over this period, Vivacom has built the first 5G commercial network in all regional cities across Bulgaria and the first 10GIGA optical network in Bulgaria. The company also pioneered the first unlimited plans in the country in all price categories – from the lowest to the highest ones, giving all of its customers the complete freedom to communicate.
The special Forbes CEO of the Year award is based on an official survey among 100 established business individuals in the country, a selection made by the editorial office of the Forbes magazine, and a final vote. The companies and leaders are given a chance to share their success stories with the public, while the award winners gain recognition for their good job and a motivation boost to conquer new career heights.
