October 18 (SeeNews) - The Croatian share indices closed mostly up on Tuesday as turnover increased, bourse data showed.
The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) increased 0.55% to 1,982.46 points after edging down by 0.04% on Monday.
The narrower of the bourse's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, rose 0.49% to 1,152.58, after falling 0.17% in the previous session.
Total daily turnover on the bourse jumped to 9.7 million kuna ($1.4 million/1.3 million euro) from 5.9 million kuna on Monday.
Shipping company Uljanik Plovidba [ZSE:ULPL-R-A] paced the CROBEX gainers, advancing 7.68% to 136.62 kuna.
Food company Belje [ZSE:BLJE-R-A] led the CROBEX decliners, losing 4.54% to 25.09 kuna.
Shipping firm Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL-R-A] generated the session's biggest turnover of 1.4 million kuna. The stock closed up 5.55% to 265.65 kuna as 5,172 shares changed hands.
The fixed-income CROBIS index edged down 0.05% to 109.3522 points.
