LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), July 3 (SeeNews) – One of the leading US investment funds in the field of mobility and autonomous driving, VectoIQ, has invested $1.2 million (1 million euro) in Slovenian high-tech start-up NERVteh, the intitiative Start:up Slovenia said.
NERVteh, which develops advanced technologies for driver evaluation and testing algorithms for autonomous driving, will use the funds to finance its business and technological development and marketing, Start:up Slovenia said in a statement on Monday.
The Slovenian startup has plans to expand its sales network and acquire large deals with major players in the automotive and insurance industries.
NERVteh has developed a simulator to study "real-life" driving experiences and measure human factor response, reactions and perception while they happen. It is equipped with a number of psycho-physiological sensors for the collection of biometric data, which can be used to profile drivers and to fit the missing pulse of human intuition into computer based intelligence.
