September 12 (SeeNews) - Turkish automotive manufacturers' combined vehicle production rose 4.0% on the year to 752,882 vehicles in the first eight months of the year, the country's Automotive Manufacturers Association said.
Passenger car output increased 6% year-on-year to 397,651 units from January through August, commercial vehicle output went up 3% to 329,296 units, while tractors production declined 18% to 25,935 units, data released by the association showed.
In August alone, total vehicle production rose 27% on the year to 47,511 units as passenger car output increased 35% to 28,457, commercial vehicle output rose 10% to 17,151 units and tractor output grew 175% to 1,903 units.
