April 12 (SeeNews) - Turkey's unemployment rate fell by 0.5 percentage points (pp) on a monthly comparison basis in February, to 10.7%, the national statistical office said.
The unemployed people aged 15 years and over numbered 3.58 million in February, a decrease of 178,000 compared to the previous month, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) said in a statement on Monday.
The employment rate was unchanged month-on-month in February, at 46.6%, or 3.6 million people.
Turkey's labour force decreased by 87,000 on a monthly comparison basis to nearly 33.6 million in February.
The labour force participation rate edged down by 0.2 pp month-on-month in February, to 52.2%.
The unemployment rate in the 15-24 years age group was 20.7% in February, down 0.6 pp compared to January.
